ARMENIANS MASSACRED
GREEKS ALSO MURDERED

LONDON, Saturday.
The correspondent of "The Times"
at Constantinople says that the
Turkish Nationalists have massacred
hundreds of Greeks and Armenian
civilians in Asia Minor.
There have been no provocation to
occasion the crimes. The conduct of
the Greek troops had been exemplary
hitherto, but it will be difficult to
restrain them if they find more but-
chered Christians.
The British Government is blamed
for dilatoriness in trying the Tur(k)s
who are interned at Malta, charged
with complicity in massacres. The
atrocities, it seems have been invari-
ably authorised by those in the high--
er positions. So far, only one of the
prisoners has been hanged, but if a
few of the higher authorities knew
that they risked their necks the mas-
sacres would probably cease.
